Despite it’s ridiculous name, ZombiU from Ubisoft is easily my favorite trailer from E3. But, I am biased due to my love of zombie related stuff. More importantly though, once you watch the game play trailer you see the potential for the Wii U controller as an interactive screen. Very cool and might push me towards buying one. Also nice to see Nintendo get on board the more adult themed games.

So yeah, you probably heard that Nintendo had a pre-E3 E3 event yesterday. I won’t go into too much detail. They are preparing to launch their newest console, the Wii U and the focus continues to be on that. First of all the Wii U is a console with the horsepower to compete with both the Xbox 360 and the PS3. It has a tablet like controller which will display additional content or mini-game type games. Announced yesterday was new controller for the Wii U that looks pretty close to an Xbox 360 controller called the Wii U Pro controller. Also announced was a new social network based on your Nintendo avatar or “mii” called the Miiverse. The last addition of any import is the use of NFC on the Wii U controller.
Now, I try very hard to make Leisurely Geeks a positive place. With that I will not go into a rant. I will also preface the next few statements with the fact that my household owns and has enjoyed all of the Nintendo consoles and their franchise characters are arguably the best in the gaming industry. With that being said I must ask the following questions.
1. Do any of us need another social network of our own or one for our children that we have to monitor?
